A unique music venue situated among the rolling hills south of Warm Springs, Garth Newel has been offering the finest in chamber music concerts for more than 30 years.  With a resident piano quartet that plays in a renovated Arabian horse barn, gourmet chef, and onsite lodging in a historic manor house, Garth Newel offers the most wonderfully under-stated, naturally beautiful, and serene landscape for music just about anywhere. 

Garth Newel hosts regular weekend concerts from spring through New Year’s, including entertainment by guest artists from around the globe. And chamber music isn’t all Garth Newel serves up. They also feature everything from jazz quartets to swirling Flamenco dancers and host instrumental workshops for both adults and college students.

Bluegrass music is a staple of life in the Alleghany Mountains of Virginia, and many Bath County locals grew up picking tunes on the back porch, so to speak. Among them are the members of Bath’s local bluegrass band 220 South.  With an extensive repertoire that includes both original bluegrass tunes and all the traditional standards, they can often be found entertaining at local festivals and events. The group just completed its fourth album Highway of Tradition.
